Do penis enlargement pumps work?

Dear Sex Doc,

Do penis enlargement pumps work?

Penis Pump

Dear Penis Pump,

For permanent long, lasting results the short answer is NO. A, penis pump will trap blood in the penis when men use it, but it will not make the penis longer. In fact, there are no lotions, potions, or pumps that will increase the size of a man’s penis.

Unfortunately many men are not comfortable with the size of their penis. There is a perpetuated myth that ‘bigger is better,’ but this really isn’t true. Men should learn to be comfortable with the penis they have, regardless of it’s size.

If a man really is concerned about the size of their penis, there are surgeries available in Canada to increase the length of a guy’s penis. Experts say that only men with a limp penis less than 1.6 inches and an erect penis 3 inches or less, should consider surgery.

The most common penile surgery in North America is called penile lengthening surgery. The doctor will cut the penis’s internal suspensory ligament that will provide new length on the outside. Existing skin from the penis or the pubic area will be used for the new growth. The average penis growth varies, but is usually between a half an inch and two inches.

And if this is an issue for you, consult your family doctor or urologist for a trusted expert in this area.

Best regards,

Dr. Brian Parker
